Thieves Guild HQ – Unhealthy Competition created by Punk Stevo, released in 2010 and last updated in 2011, adds a new player home along with a post-thieves guild quest line. This mod requires the Shivering Isles expansion and for the player to have completed the original Thieves Guild quest line.
Welcome back to Aperture, old friend.
Portal Stories: Mel, is a free fan-made Portal 2 mod that takes place between the events of Portal 1 and Portal 2. It does require you to own Portal 2. Portal 2 however, does not need to be installed in order to play Portal Stories: Mel.
The Gray Cowl of Nocturnal is a DLC size quest-adventure mod made by Italian modder: MannyGT. Unfortunately this is also the last mod he will be making (minus his portals mod) which is a shame. I was very fond of the Silverfish Grotto player-home also made by MannyGT, I do not think I ever used any other mods of his.
The mod was in development for some time actually, I think it took about a year? Sorry, I lost track of how long it was in development before it was released. However, it was released on Skyrim Nexus on April 11th, 2015. From what I seen on his official Facebook page, it was originally meant to be released back in March but was delayed since the voice actor never sent the files. I found that disappointing since I know the original ending was supposed to follow the lore of what happened in Oblivion (acknowledging the ending of Shivering Isles story-line). Since the voice actor never delivered, MannyGT was forced to change the ending. So for ‘lore purists’ the ending is going to be odd.
That is my understanding of what happened however.
Gates to Aesgaard – Episode 2! These guys sure like their episodes don’t they? Even their indie game has the subtitle of episode one. I am going off-topic though. There is no download for the main file on the Oblivion Nexus site, however you can download it here instead.
In episode 2, it continues the story begun in the first episode where you now possibly have the chance to *spoilers* save Ashen Rose’s soul from eternal suffering. You are actually contacted by an mysterious order who offer to aid you in this endeavor but you must help them first. They are convinced you are the ‘Chosen One’ and the only person able to retrieve the mystical Soul Sphere from the hellish world that belongs to the cruel sadistic King Stochan, who happens to now ascended to some sort of godhood.
Will you succeed in retrieving the mysterious orb? Or will you lose your sanity and perish in this nightmarish dreamscape?
